Attitude Week 5

How can you change your future by simply changing your attitude? By now you know that your attitude is a composite of your thoughts, feelings and actions.  And your attitude  produces the results you get.  That is, people respond and react to your attitude wherever it is on the continuum between positive and negative.  People treat you differently depending on the attitude that you present to them. So if you do not like the results you are getting you can change them by changing your thoughts feelings and actions – your attitude- and your results will change.

We all have limiting beliefs.  Beliefs that hold us back from doing the things that will move us forward. These beliefs have become so much part of us that often don’t even know that we have them. They have become some of our implicit attitudes.

Action Steps

The first step in changing an attitude is to become aware of them.

Think about some of the beliefs or attitude  you hold about what you look like, or about money. List 3 limiting beliefs.

Now ask yourself these 4 questions about each belief:

  1. Is it  true that …(list your limiting belief)?

  2. How can you absolutely know that it is true?

  3. How do you react or what happens when you believe that thought?

  4. Who would you be without that thought?

Now turn the statement around and say the opposite… how does that feel?
